What do I get as part of the membership?
When you become a teacher inside The Kinder Co you will get:
~ Access the Professional Development Library filled with on demand classes made especially for kindergarten teachers. Upon completion of the sessions, you will get a certificate of completion.
~ 2 tokens every month you are a member to use for printable resources from Simply Kinder or Kreative in Kinder. *
~ Access to our members only Facebook group.
~ Access to our Resource List Library filled with links to best teaching practice.
How does payment work?
Our membership is billed monthly. You pay for the month you are in on the day you join. Then for every month after you are billed on the first of the month. So say you join on March 3rd. You are billed on March 3rd for the month of March and then again on April 1st. You will get 2 product tokens on March 3rd and 2 more product tokens on April 1st as well as access to our whole professional development library for both months.
* How do the Printable Tokens Work
Each month you are a member, you will receive 2 tokens to put towards single printable downloads from Simply Kinder and Kreative in Kinder. The homepage will always tell you how many tokens you have available to use.
- You can shop from the Printable Library directly on TheKinderCo.com. When you find a resource you like, you select the option below it to purchase with a token.
- Please note: We will include a variety of resources from our product lines for you to pick from. These resources will single resources (not bundles) and be up to $10 in value in our regular marketplaces.
- Every time your monthly subscription renews, you will be issued additional tokens.
- You will have access to your downloads on TheKinderCo.com as long as you are a member. If you choose to leave TheKinderCo, be sure to download your resources and save them to your computer.
- If you don’t have enough tokens for a resource, you can purchase the resource from us directly.
Please note – we do not have all of our resources in this system, but resources that align with the classes we offer. If there are single resources valued under $10 that you want to use your tokens on, please email firstname.lastname@example.org and we will happily add those to the system for you.
How do the certificates of completion work?
Certificates of Completion are issued on the professional development classes (not the teacher tips vidoes). There are currently 18 professional development classes that have certificates of completion in the system (updated 2-26-20).
- At the bottom of the certificated videos are three questions. When you answer the questions verifying you watched the session the certificate will release.
- The certificate will auto populate your name and date on the certificate.
- This certificate will only be verified for the members of our program.
Please note: It is up to you to check with your school, district, and state if they accept the clock hour certificates from The Kindergarten Collaborative. It’s important to use to have the best program possible and so program uses expert speakers who present on a national level. However, each school, district, and state has different requirements but if you need any help getting this approved, just let us know how because we are willing to help.
Do I need to be on Facebook to be a member?
You do not need to be on Facebook to participate in our program. All of the expert speaker sessions will be uploaded to our website. Any interactive professional development sessions hosted on Zoom or in Facebook will be downloaded and added to our website shortly after. We currently do everything live in Zoom and on Facebook so if you don’t have Facebook you can still participate.
What is your cancellation and refund policy?
We want you to be happy with your choice to join The Kindergarten Collaborative (The Kinder Co). If you any questions or concerns with your membership, please email us at info@thekinderco,com.
All memberships will automatically renew on the 1st of every calendar month.
Cancellations: If you decide The Kindergarten Collaborative (The Kinder Co) is not for you, you can CANCEL at any time.
If you cancel, your plan will expire on the last day of your paid billing month and you will no longer have access to The Kindergarten Co dashboard and all of the content on The Kindergarten Co website. (Please be sure to download your certificates of completion AND printables before your program ends).
Access to our private Facebook group will end on the day you cancel your membership, not at the end of your billing cycle. When you cancel, you immediately lose access to our private Facebook group.
It is your responsibility to ensure that you cancel your account before the billing cycle renews if you no longer wish to continue your membership.
TO CANCEL YOUR PLAN:
- Go to MY ACCOUNT in the upper right hand corner
- Go to YOUR ORDERS AND SUBSCRIPTIONS
- At the bottom it says CANCEL SUBSCRIPTION NOW
- Confirm you want your subscription cancelled
You membership will be valid until the end of your payment period. At that time you will lose access to our system including downloads and certificates. Please be sure to download anything you need so you can access it after your membership is finished.
If you cancel your membership and choose to restart it at a later date, you will be considered a new member again and all content from your original membership will not be accessible.
Refunds: The Kindergarten Collaborative (The Kinder Co) is all about learning, working together, and online support so it is not a tangible product that can be returned.
Hence, due to the nature of the service The Kindergarten Collaborative (The Kinder Co) provides, there will be no refunds made for any membership fees already paid. This includes but is not limited to not having the time to participate, not having access to participate, not wanting to participate in a particular month’s topic, and not accessing the dashboard or participating in the social discussions on Facebook. If you wish to discontinue our membership, we will gladly cancel your membership (see above).
How often do you add new classes and printables?
We are still very new and committed to adding new classes monthly through July of 2020. Our goal is to build up a huge bank of classes so you have what you need when you need it. Then we are committed to bringing you sessions as needed (on a quarterly basis at a minimum). This will allow you time to view the professional development you need without feeling overwhelmed and having to keep up each month. As of 3/1/20 there are 18 professional development sessions available.
We have a good bank of resources in the printable sections of the site. The resources on the site are from Kreative in Kinder and Simply Kinder. They support the professional development sessions. If there is a file you want that is not included, just email us and we will get it added. (Single files under $10 only, not bundles).
